Summer 2023 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Program Updates
Current REU summer students are enjoying a filled schedule. On Tuesdays, professional development lunches include presentations by rotating visitors (librarians, other colleagues).
On Wednesdays, one hour technical seminars are presented by our faculty mentors.
On Fridays students attend a journal club with graduate students for an hour and a half where papers are read and discussed over lunch.
About the UMass Amherst REU Program
This is a joint REU Program with projects available through both the UMass Energy Transition Institute (ETI) and the Computing for an Equitable Energy Transition (CEET) program. ETI projects look to solve challenges of the energy transition in an in equitable way. CEET projects also solve challenges of the energy transition in an in equitable way, but focus on computing and analysis to achieve those goals.
