Make a difference

Energy systems touch every facet of society, and there is a role for everyone in the transition.

Campus Community

Being part of ETI means reaching beyond disciplinary boundaries and expanding the impact of your research on the energy transition. We help researchers find collaborators and funding opportunities, and we bring them together to share knowledge and create new ideas at the intersection of energy technology and equity.

Join our mailing list (UMass Amherst log-in required) to become part of a community of scholars across all fields of energy research, from nanomaterials to art history and everything in between.

Prospective Students

UMass Amherst students are energized to work toward equitable climate solutions, and they know that there is no time to waste. In partnership with the School of Earth and Sustainability, we train students to prepare them for meaningful work in the clean energy economy.

Apply for the ELEVATE Ph.D. program, or reach out with any questions you have about learning opportunities.

Stakeholders

Our work engages stakeholders from community groups, industry, local governments, legislators, and state and federal agencies. We partner with Clean Energy Extension to support communities in planning for their energy transition.
